Speaking at the weekend in Abuja on the occasion of the 2018 World International Youth Day, Atiku who was represented by the Director of Media and Publicity ‎in his Campaign Organisation, Segun Showunmi reiterated his agenda to restructure Nigeria if given the mandate.

Atiku also urged the youths to remember that only a leader genuinely committed to bringing about progress deserved their support, adding that 2019 was the moment to make the best choice.

"No pain is too much and no energy too big to dispense to give the youths the opportunity to make the needed impact in our nation building project.

"The youths need a social security blanket because it is very possible that the population of the nation will double in the next 20 years.

"Every great nation of the world, whether in Europe or Asia, derives its strength from the energies of the youths. So, Nigeria cannot be an exception," he said.

In his remarks, Obe Ayodele, Speaker of the Nigerian Youth Parliament, lauded Atiku’s contributions to the growth of the nation’s economy, noting that young Nigerians have also joined the clamour for restructuring as a panacea to the nation’s quest for development.

Similarly, a chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), John Dara, cautioned the electorate against getting carried away by campaign promises of politicians.
