As part of the efforts of the Airtel Nigeria to improve its services, the management of the company on Tuesday launched 4G network in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.
Ibadan, the Oyo state capital is the first city where the Airtel launched its 4G network in Nigeria for operational and business strategic reasons.
The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya while speaking on the new service, said 4G works faster than the previous services, adding that the company chose Ibadan as pioneer city to launch the new product because it remains city of many firsts not only in Nigeria but in Africa.
The Oyo state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi who was represented by the deputy governor, Chief Moses Alake-Adeyemo commended Airtel Nigeria for choosing Oyo state as the first point of lauching the 4G service in the country.
