Hull City are close to agreeing an ambitious deal that would see Leicester City forward Ahmed Musa reunited with Leonid Slutsky at the KCOM Stadium.
The Tigers have held advanced talks with the Foxes in recent days and are optimistic of tying up a season-long loan for the Nigeria international ahead of today’s transfer deadline.
Landing Musa would be a significant coup for City 14 months after he cost Leicester £17m.
The 24-year-old has struggled to make his mark on the Premier League but the chance to work with Slutsky after enjoying success together at CSKA Moscow has an obvious appeal.
A pursuit of Musa is one of three deals City are still working on before the transfer window closes.
