Bello revealed this yesterday during a stakeholders’ meeting on security challenges and current threat on the peace and security of the FCT.

Bello said members of the public could assist the police to avert unpleasant incidents during the festive periods by providing vital information leading to arrest of criminals or the prevention of crimes.

He also said citizens should “Make sure that you install anti-car theft devices in your vehicles, e.g. pedal lock, steering lock, tracker, fuel cut or engine cut, etc. This will reduce the incidences of stealing of vehicles from where parked.”

He said members of the public should also be careful of whom they employ as house-helps and security men as “there seems to be connivance with house-helps, especially on how the hoodlums gained access to the residence.”
