The Arewa Youths for Peace and Security (AYPS) has called on the leadership of the APC and the presidency to intervene in the choice of the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Delta State.
In a petition signed by the National President and Secretary of AYPC, Malam Suleiman Musa and Comrade Balarabe Musa, the youths specifically claimed that the APC was planning to impose Mr. Great Ogboru as candidate.
The petition argued that Ogboru was not fit to be the APC flag-bearer, explaining that he was the anointed candidate of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), an organisation allegedly opposing the Buhari-led government. They therefore called for an enabling environment for all aspirants to test their popularity.
