Yandutse college renders community service

As part of their community service, the students of Yandutse College in Kano state have carried out a one-day community cleaning exercise to their immediate community.

The students led by a director of the school, filled-up the worn-out portions of the road leading to the state’s Police headquarters in Bompai in the state metropolis.

The state’s Commissioner of Police, Rabiu Yusuf, who was overwhelmed with excitement over the gesture, stressed the importance of community services in enhancing neighborhood relations.

Represented by the Deputy Commissioner of Police Department of Operations, Balarabe Sule, the CP thanked the management of the college for choosing Police Headquarters as their focal point to teach their students practical aspect of civic education.

The commissioner said the command was ready to partner with any organization willing to embark on such laudable gesture.

Earlier, the Director of the College, Mr George, said the college had chosen filling of potholes as part of their practical lessons of civic education with a view to molding the behaviors of the students towards becoming change agents in their respective communities.
