The program was introduced in 1984. Investors accepted onto the program are offered citizenship of St. Kitts and Nevis and a passport that enables visa-free travel to over 137 countries, including Canada, the UK and Europe.
Passports are available for the applicant and their dependents.
To qualify for citizenship of St. Kitts and Nevis under this program, government requires a minimum $400,000 investment in an approved real estate project, plus $200,000 processing and legal fees for a family of four.
Investors are given the opportunity to apply for citizenship and passports within the strict guidelines of the law and relevant regulations. Citizenship can be retained for life as long as investors hold their qualifying investment in an approved project for a minimum of five years.
Based on historical increases in required investments and capital gain projections, it is anticipated that investors will receive an amount equivalent to the initial capital invested, plus a large percentage of government fees at the end of the five-year period.
