There was an array of products on display by various women groups including those living with disability at the just concluded 4th Kaduna Women Economic Empowerment Summit organised by the state’s Ministry of Human Services and Social Development.
The summit was aimed at providing an avenue for women that benefited from the N200 million Kaduna State Women Empowerment Fund (KADSWEF) to link up with available markets in order to sell their products.

The governor observed that the empowerment fund was already achieving its purpose, as the beneficiaries of the first batch were paying back, demonstrating remarkable profit, promising that more women would benefit.
“Our drive to promoting equal opportunities cannot succeed if it does not embrace women at their various stages of their lives. Part of our population is women and any society that fails to utilize the opportunity, capacity and talent of women, is ignoring half of its women capital,” El-Rufai stated.
Deputy Governor of the state, Dr. Hadiza Balarabe, said empowering women will uplift their living standard and economy of the state.
