Why I want to serve the people – House of Reps aspirant

An aspirant for the House of Representatives on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), Efraimu Dauda Ushafa, has said he will ensure the  recognition of FCT as a state, empower the youth, create jobs and provide scholarships to deserving students if elected in 2019.

Ushafa, who spoke to journalists while submitting his expression of interest and nomination forms at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, said he had always served the people and desired to take the service to another level by contesting for AMAC/Bwari Federal Constituency seat in the House of Reps.

He said when elected, he would ensure that residents enjoyed the dividends of democracy while championing the cause of the territory being treated as other states in the country.

He said he would also utilise cultural activities to promote unity and harmony between Nigerians in the territory.

“I am coming in as an asset and not a liability to the people. We are going to take it up from where our leaders have stopped and make things better. I am confident of victory and I urge my supporters to stand firm. We will not be intimated by anybody,” he said.
