Why Buhari is yet to travel with legislators – Kawu

President Muhammadu Buhari has so far not travelled abroad with federal legislators because the two chambers of the 8th National Assembly are yet to form their committees.
This was disclosed by Suleiman Abdulrahman Kawu, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives), who spoke to our reporter at the venue of the 2015 General Assembly.
He said that as soon as the National Assembly stabilised and formed the committees, the president will start travelling with some of the legislators.
He said most of the issues discussed during the president’s visits needed to be legislated on. “So that is why we, as the liaisons, are here both as the representatives of the executives and the parliament,” he added.
