A top official of the Nigeria Basketball Federation (NBBF) told Daily Trust last night that the decision by the wife of the Vice President to attend the basketball event was in continuation of her support for basketball development in the country.
According to the official, “the wife of the Vice President will be at Package B venue of the ongoing 10th Zenith League tomorrow in order to throw her weight behind the NBBF for women basketball development. She will watch d game between AHIP Queens of Kano and Benue Princess between 3 and 4.30pm”.
Meanwhile, a total of eight matches will be played today in continuation of the annual basketball championship.
In Group A, First Deep Water versus Oluyole Babes, Sunshine Angels versus IGP Queens, Delta Force versus Immigration and Taraba Hurricane versus GT 2000.
In Group B, Dolphins will battle First Bank, FCT Angels will face Customs, while AHIP will be up against Benue Queens, while the last match of the day will see Coal City Queens dunks off against Plateau Rocks.
