There are pockets of violence and protest in Bungudu local government area and Gusau, the state capital as dozens of party faithfuls protest the delay in the commencement of the exercise.

Incomplete and late arrival of election material had forced the national headquarters of the party to adopt Option A4 for the exercise which commenced around 4pm on Wednesday.

However, Governor Abdulaziz Yari said the process would continue on Thursday adding that the security operatives in the state are doing well to protect lives and property.

Earlier, he said only 10% of the total ballot papers needed for the conduct of the APC governorship primaries were made available in the state.
