UniJos inducts 390 graduates into teaching profession

Jos unrest: Varsity authorities find missing student

About 390 students of the Faculty of Education in the University of Jos were yesterday inducted into the teaching profession at a ceremony affirmed by the Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN).

The induction ceremony was the 6th in the faculty.

In an address the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sebastain Maimako, said the graduates have gone through rigorous training to become professional teachers, and have acquired expertise and discipline required of a teacher.

In his remarks, the Registrar  of TRCN, Professor Josiah Olusegun Ajiboye, said the quality of education in any society depended largely on the quality of teachers.
