At least three former Super Eagles players, Nduka Ugbade, Victor Agali and Ifeanyi Udeze are expected to grace the final of the 2019 edition of the Delta State Principals’ Cup sponsored by Zenith Bank.
The tournament is for post-primary schools in Delta State and is sponsored annually by the financial institution.
According to the Commissioner for Basic and Secondary School Education, Patrick Ukah, the former football stars will be at the final as special guests.
The match to be played on November 28 between College of Commerce and Zappa Mixed Secondary School Asaba will hold at Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba.
Ukah explained that the presence of Ugbade, Udeze and Agali would be a boost to the final ceremony.
“We want the young footballers to see some of their heroes live and we will create opportunity for the former stars to speak to the kids.
“It is a tradition to bring former stars for the final which will also be attended by various top dignitaries across all spheres of life.
“We are indeed happy the final is here after such an interesting journey so far. We are going to make it glorious,” he said.
