A motorcyclist carrying three school children was on Tuesday involved in an accident, killing all the four persons on it in Funtua town, Daily Trust reports.
Our reporter gathered that the deceased have been identified as Maryam, Saadatu and Aisha Moh’d and all are students of Government Girls Day Funtua.
The accident happened along Zaria Road in Funtua metropolis when the motorcyclist was conveying them to Tudun Malamai quarters after school.
Eye witnesses say the yet-to-be identified motorcyclist tried to overtake a moving tipper carrying sand when he suddenly lost control and crash before the tipper ran over them.
‘No sooner had he driven past the tipper through a narrow path, he fell and the tipper ran over them’ , he added.
Already, the funeral prayers of the deceased had taken place yesterday and buried accordingly.
When contacted the spokesman of the Federal Road Safety Corp, Abdullahi Yau said they command is yet to be briefed by its Funtua unit on the accident.
