The photo girl who opts for golf

Sure enough, her names read like a Swedish mouthwash. Try pronouncing it and you could be close to biting your tongue. All the same she is Dafir Stephanie Tongrayong.

Dafir is a professional photographer. Wherever there is a golf tournament on the Plateau, be sure to see her on the fairways trudging alongside the golfers for miles so she could get the shots she craves. Be sure of one thing. It’s indeed difficult to get a great photo shot from the crowd. The golf swings are extra fast and you have to be a genius to record a fast swing. But Dafir does this with utmost ease. No wonder she is a darling among most golfers who prefer her to compile their golf albums.

But all of a sudden, Dafir is clearly prepared to be in search of elusive shadow she calls happiness. She wants to keep aside her cameras and several lenses and give golf a big shot.

Hear her: “For some time now, I have been wondering I could conquer the golf world if I try. You see, I have done several hours on the course doing my photo job and at the same time watching swings and the impact a good swing can make. I really told myself I could do well with golf. It appears easy enough. So I joined and had 36 Handicap pasted on my back. And just like I imagined, the process was coming quite easy at first. But when I delved into it fully I could see the challenges that make golf such a difficult task. But I am doing okay. I have height and this is helping me beat the ball longer. I am looking forward to my first tourney and this is the Governor’s Cup coming this weekend. Something keeps telling me I could win in my category”.
