Journalist and author Henry Akubuiro’s last good read is Anaele Ihuoma’s ‘Imminent River’. He describes it as “an epic that straddles cultures and generations, from the backwaters of Eastern Nigeria, centuries ago, before the era of white adventurism to Africa, to the western world via the Transatlantic Slave Trade. The writer manages time and space very well, leaving the reader begging for more.
Akubuiro is a creative writer and currently the Arts Editor of The Sun Newspaper Nigeria. He is the author of the novel, ‘Prodigals in Paradise’, also ‘Adventures of Bingo and Bomboi’, ‘Little Wizard of Okokomaiko’ and’ Vershima and the Missing Cow’.
