Tropical Arctic Logistics (TAL), an international logistics company providing helicopter and flight services for oil and gas companies and business executives, has inaugurated its newly acquired six AW139 helicopter S92 and a Challenger fixed wing business Executive Jet.
The newly acquired equipment are worth over $150m, according to the company.
President and CEO of TAL, Emperor Chris Baywood Ibe, flanked by the chairman and former Minister of State for Petroleum, Odein Ajumogobia, SAN, among other members of the board, said at a press conference at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos that they have invested into helicopter business to help the oil and gas industry in particular and provide employment for Nigerians.
The president disclosed that the company would soon divest into commercial aviation, and emphasized that safety and efficiency remained the priority of TAL.
The Chief Operating Officer, Prince Engr. Femi Adeniji, said the maintenance of the helicopters would be conducted locally and pledged the company’s resolve to promote the Nigerian content.
