Following the disruption of the PDP gubernatorial primary yesterday in Ilorin, a former Minister of National Planning, Prof. Abubakar Sulaiman, a former APC Publicity Secretary, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, and Mr. Muhammed Ibrahim Ajia all boycotted the rescheduled exercise.
Sulaiman, on Sunday night, said he would boycott the rescheduled primary.
“I would boycott the primary because a particular aspirant has been anointed. This is contrary to the earlier assurance that a level playing field would be provided for all the aspirants. The fact is that the rescheduled primary would be a nullity,” he said.
All other aspirants contesting for the same position had all stepped down, leaving two federal lawmakers, Mr. Abdulrazaq Atunwa and Shaaba Lafiagi.
