Stocks market shed N71bn to start week negative

Equities market of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE)  closed yesterday  on a negative note, as the market capitalization shed N136 billion to close at N15,883

 The All Share Index (ASI)  depreciated by -0.85% to close at 44,261.72. basis points as against +0.40% appreciation recorded previously. Its Year-to-Date (YTD) returns currently stands at +15.74%. 

Market breadth closed negative as AIICO led 22 Gainers as against  34 Losers topped by UNIC  at the end of today’s session- an Improved performance when compared with previous outlook. 

Market turnover closes negative as volume moved down by -20.25% as against15.12% downtick recorded in the previous session. FCMB  , SKYEBANK  and DIAMONDBNk were the most active to boost market turnover. ZENITHBANK  and FCMB  topped market value list.
