A group called Legislative Advocacy and Research Bureau has advised the leadership of APC to ensure equitable justice in the zoning of leadership positions in the 9th Assembly.
Spokesman of the group, Salihu Abdullahi, who gave the advice, yesterday, in Abuja in a press statement, urged APC National Working Committee (NWC) to ensure that its decisions adhered to Article 20(iv) of the party’s constitution.
Abdullahi, who said party supremacy should be nurtured upon practical exigencies to enable individuals feel a sense of belonging, warned that it would be counter-productive for the party to impose a speaker on the 9th House.

“We urge APC to adhere to Article 20 of our constitution and uphold the principles of federal character, gender balance, and rotation of office. We support constitutionalism and integration of diverse interests to foster peace among the three arms of government,” he said.
