Society honours outstanding Muslims, present Islamic book

The Al-Mustoffiyya Islamic Society of Nigeria will on Saturday at the Merit House Abuja lunch a book titled “The Most Glaring Beauty of Islam” and also honour some prominent Muslims across the country for their contribution to Islam and national development.

The founder of the society Ustaz Maisuna M. Yahaya told Daily Trust that maiden award ceremony was to encourage others to help the society and the nation.
 
“The Father of the Day is Etsu Nupe and Grand Patron of the society Alhaji Yahaya Ibrahim, with the Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan as the Mother of the Day. While the Chairman of the occasion is the MD of Palfinger Engineering and Associates Engr Olaide Oladapo Mohammed, the Guest Lecturer is the JAMB Registrar Prof Is-haq Oloyede,” he said.
 
Apart from the launching of the book authored by Ustaz Maisuna and three others, certificates would also be given to some trainees on cinematography trained by the society.
 
He also said that about 30 personalities would be honoured including Professor Is-haq O. Oloyede, Alhaji Suarau Bankole Alani the father of a former Speaker of the House of Representatives Hon Dimeji Bankole and a retired Managing Director of the Media Trust Limited Alh Ishaq Ajibola among others.
