Senator Ake who revealed this in a statement yesterday, said the committee has begun the process of evaluating the work of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) on the implementation of the Employment Compensation Act, 2010.
He explained that the evaluation process will enable the committee ascertain the results of NSITF’s implementation of social welfare programmes under the act which will be addressed under the Bill.
“The amendment bill contains measures that will ensure that Nigerians whether employed or not as well as the aged, enjoy adequate social security welfare scheme,” he said.
