The Vice Chancellor of University of Benin, Prof Farraday Orumwense, has denied involvement of the Emir of Kano Muhammadu Sunusi II in the rustication of the five students of the institution over misconduct.
He said the management has also recalled the rusticated students back to class following the appeal on their behalf by stakeholders.
Orumwense said this in Benin yesterday while addressing journalists on the decision of the management of the institution to recall the rusticated students.
He said the clarification about Sanusi’s involvement became necessary due to reports in social media by students that the Chancellor orchestrated the student’s the rustication.
