As Muslims celebrate Eid-el-Kabir, the General Overseer of Christ Evangelical and Life intervention Fellowship in Kaduna, Pastor Yohanna Buru in the spirit of celebration fed over 1,000 Muslim inmates, destitutes and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in the state.
The pastor who in company of some Christian elders donated food, drinks and toiletries among others to poor Muslims said the gesture was aimed at making them happy at the season.
He also said it was aimed at encouraging Muslims in captivity to also take part in the sallah celebrations.
While he urged Nigerians to always help the less privileged, the clergy appealed to wealthy individuals to always remember the needy particularly during festive periods.
“We are brothers and sisters and we must be united as one,” he said while he stressed the need to straighten the relationship between Muslims and Christians in the country.
Receiving the Sallah gift items at the destitute home at Kano road in Kaduna, the Public Relations Officer of Northern Blind Forum, Mallam Muntari Saleh commended the Christian leaders for the gesture, praying to God to continue to bless them.
