Sack APC members with opposition in their blood – Kaduna group

Senators elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Kaduna State, have shown more sympathy to the opposition parties than to the APC, the Kaduna Restoration Group has said.

The group at a press briefing by its secretary, Muhammad Lawal Shehu, in Kaduna on Thursday called on the leadership of the party to cleanse the remnants of those who were yet to defect to the opposition parties so that the party can be rid of those ‘with opposition in their blood.’

Shehu said the recent defections by some APC senators and governors only vindicated its earlier position that some of the leaders of the APC in Kaduna were working towards the dismemberment of the party.

“Right from the beginning of the 8th Senate, they have been more of PDP than APC. They have been obstructing President Buhari’s government, delaying federal budget, stalling confirmation hearings and obstructing executive requests,” Shehu stated.

The group said the APC senators from Kaduna have been doing the job of the opposition better than the opposition even before the recent gale of defections.

“It is now clear that some of them jumped into the APC when  it was apparent that the party was heading to victory in order to continue being relevant within Nigeria’s political circle, not because they share in the ideological beliefs of the APC and that of our revered political leader , President Buhari,” the group stated.
