Reps aspirant seeks disqualification of Sokoto member

Mohammed, in a petition through his lawyers,Ikechukwu Ezechukwu (SAN) & Co. to the Nigeria Police and the Directorate of State Security Service (DSS), alleged that the primaries were stage-managed to favour the declared winner, Abdullahi Wamakko by the Sokoto APC leadership.
He stated in the petition that he contested the APC primaries for the same constituency with Wamakko and he was seeking for his disqualification on the ground that in his INEC Form CF001 submitted to the electoral body in Abuja, false information was given, which amounted to disqualification based on the provisions of Section 31(5) of the Electoral Act, 2010 (as amended).
He alleged that Wamakko falsely claimed that he attended Sokoto Polytechnic, Talata Mafara between 1992 and 1993, where he obtained Certificate in Public Accounting and Auditing, (CPM) and that he attended the Polytechnic Birnin Kebbi, between 2000 to 2002, where he obtained Higher Polytechnic Diploma in Accountancy and Diploma in Accounting & Finance respectively.
He then expressed worry that there are alleged attempts to influence the outcome of the investigation by the police and litigation in court by some powerful individuals from the state.
