The member representing Jama’are/Itas-Gadau Federal Constituency, Bauchi State, in the House of Representatives, Isa Hassan, has dismissed allegations of non-performance against Governor Mohammed Abubakar by some federal lawmakers from the state.
Hassan was quoted in a statement by the press secretary to the governor, Abubakar Al-Sadique, as giving pass mark to the governor while addressing journalists after a visit to the government house in Bauchi.
He said the allegations were figments of their creators’ imagination and “baseless political gimmickry aimed at creating bad image for the governor.”
The lawmaker added that the administration of Governor Abubakar was executing projects in all the federal constituencies of the state, contrary to the allegation of neglect of some parts of the state due to political rivalry.
He enumerated some of the major projects being executed by the administration in the state to include the design and construction of Hanafari-Jurara-G/Babani-S/Kafi-Dogon Jeji road at the cost of over N856 million.
According to him, others were the contracts awarded for the construction of Jama’are-Jurara road; the design and construction of 36 kilometres Itas to Magarya through Atafowa road and Magarya-Jigawa border road at the cost of over N1.455 billion.
The member therefore urged his colleagues to stop playing dirty politics and smearing the good name of the state.
