Ramadan: Muslims urged to pray for unity

Adekola made the call recently at a reception/luncheon, organized by the Society in honour of Alhaji Jamiu Afolayan, who was recently appointed as the Managing Director of Lower Niger River Basin Development Authority by the federal government.
“Although the happenings around the world, especially in the Arab nations, calls for concern, this is the critical period that we need to be more united irrespective of our religion and ethnic background,’’ he noted.
Also speaking, the Chief Executive Officers of HMI Construction Ltd,  Gbolahan Shoaga, noted that “as Muslim, our priority should be our roles to our God, and our relationship to other human beings irrespective of our religion, because we will be judged by our character, we should be a good example to any person that comes to our ways.”
Shoaga and other friends of the celebrant described him as an epitome of humility, a man who believes in the dignity of hard work.
Responding, the celebrant, Engr. Afolayan noted that the lesson he derived from Nawar-Ud-Deen Society of Nigeria (NUDS) had been a propelling force behind his achievements, just as he lauded the society for associating with him.
“Nawar-Ud-Deen has been the propelling force till now. The assignment before me is a big task that requires prayer of everybody, I believe with your support and prayers, we will succeed,” he said.
