Ramadan: KUST Muslim forum feeds 3,000 underprivileged

Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil Muslim Forum has donated food items to the underprivileged in Wudil town as part of its activities in the month of Ramadan.

The amir of the forum, Prof Muhammad Lawan Kaurangini, said the forum was able to feed 600 households in the first instance and might likely do more with assistance from outside.

He said the intervention was mainly meant for the casual staff of the university, and the poor and orphans within Wudil town.

“Everyday people struggle to feed their families. Many families go hungry especially with the lockdown directives to fight the dreaded COVID-19  hence the wisdom to complement government and other aid organisations,” he said.
