Some members of the APC yesterday besieged the party’s national secretariat in Abuja, expressing support for Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, President Muhammadu Buhari and former governor of Lagos State, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The protesters, under the auspices of Federation of Buhari Support Group (FBSG), came in several buses.
Alhaji Ibrahim Sikiru, who led the group, accused governors Rotimi Akeredolu, Ondo; Kayode Fayemi, Ekiti; Nasir el-Rufai, Kaduna; Ibikunle Amosun, Ogun; and Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa State among others of allegedly championing the battle against the Comrade Oshiomhole-led APC National Working Committee (NWC).
Sikiru said the protest was to “expose the conservative APC” governors bent on frustrating the Oshiomhole-led NWC which, he said, could thwart President Buhari’s re-election bid, stating that the president might lose the 2019 presidential elections in the affected states.
