The Adamawa State Police Command has paraded a total of 86 suspected criminals over offences including kidnapping and robbery.
Parading the suspects in Yola, the police commissioner, Audu Adamu Madaki, said the success was achieved through constant patrol of criminal hideouts in the 21 local government areas in the state.
Madaki noted that 65 of the suspects were accused of armed robbery and possession of stolen properties while 21 others were paraded for kidnapping, criminal conspiracy and unlawful possession of firearms.
He said items recovered from the kidnappers included five AK47 rifles, 18 cartridges and 276 rounds of live ammunition.
He added that exhibits found in possession of members of Shilla gang, terrorising the state, included cutlasses, daggers and scissors. A total of 95 mobile phones and large quantity of Indian hemp and other hard drugs were also recovered.
