The police in Benue have busted a three-man syndicate that specialised in robbing people within Makurdi metropolis of their mobile phones.
The Commissioner of Police, Omololu Bishi, who paraded the suspects at the command headquarters in Makurdi, gave the names of the suspects as, Yusuf Mohammed, 19, Abdul Sani, 26 and Hassan Gowon, 24.
Bishi said the three-man gang who rode a motorcycle to rob their victims of handsets at gunpoint were identified and arrested after one of their victims reported the matter to the police.
He said a locally made pistol and their red Honda operational motorcycle were recovered from them.
The police commissioner added that the suspects would soon be arraigned in court.
