The police in Bauchi State have arrested 11 persons for allegedly vandalising security communication equipment in the state.
Parading the suspects in Bauchi yesterday, the Police Command spokesman, DSP Kamal Datti Abubakar, said the suspects were arrested at two sites of the National Public Security Communication System (NPSCS) in Alkaleri Local Government Area of the state. He said the suspects were nabbed by the State Intelligence Bureau (SIB) of the command on Tuesday following a tip off.
Datti added that the suspects had allegedly stolen two GBW 10KVA power generators.
The suspects were said to be on the wanted list of the command in connection with vandalisation and theft of telecommunications equipment belonging to both government and private companies in Bauchi and other neighbouring states.
Datti said the case is under investigation after which the suspects would be charged to court.
