Police arrest 10 robbers, 4 hemp dealers in Katsina

The police in Katsina State have arrested 10 suspected armed robbers and recovered six AK-47 rifles from them.
Also arrested are four others for dealing on suspected cannabis (Indian hemp).
Parading the suspects, the Commissioner of Police Mohammed Wakili, said those arrested have for long been terrorising residents in the state.
He gave the names of the suspected robbers to include, Suleiman Mushoda, Sada Bala, Haron Anchau, Mohammad Bello and Usman Abdullahi.
Others are, Sa’id Abdullahi, Haruna Murni, Abubakar Tukur, Lallabi Ibrahim and Lawal Wada.
Items recovered from them included six AK 47 rifles and a locally made gun, he said, noting that many rounds of ammunitions were also recovered from them, and that investigations were on in the cases.
The four others arrested in connection to possession of Indian hemp are Mohd Badaru, Mudassir Al-Mustapha, Bashir Umar and Henry Ikemba.
Wakili said the suspects have all confessed to the crimes and would be charged to court as soon as investigation was concluded.
