Pillars plot Kada City fall in rescheduled fixture

Kano Pillars

Kano Pillars have said they are in Kaduna to get the maximum points off Kada City in their rescheduled week nine fixture holding today at the Ahmadu Bello stadium Kaduna.

While Kano Pillars fell 0-1 at FC IfeanyiUbah in their week 11 fixture last Sunday, Kada City defeated hard fighting Nasarawa United 2-1 in Kaduna.

Pillars are therefore aiming to bounce back to winning ways with victory over the newcomers in the NPFL.

In a chat with Daily Trust yesterday, the Media Officer of Kano Pillars, Malam Idris Malikawa said their desire is to take home the three points in today’s match.

He said Kada City have gained so much confidence after victories over some of their more illustrious opponents, but they will find Pillars too big to handle.

According to him, Pillars have more tested and experienced players who can do the job against Kada City.

Malikawa however said nothing will be taken for granted in the match against Kada City as he said their opponents also deserve respect from Pillars.

“We are already in Kaduna for our rescheduled match with Kada City. The match suffered several postponements but all is now set for the north-west derby.

“Pillars are in Kaduna for the maximum points. We are not underrating our opponents but I don’t see Pillars leaving Kaduna without at least a point.

“We lost narrowly in Nnewi so we want to return to winning ways immediately. The match against Kada City is an opportunity for us to bounce back,” said Malikawa.

The Media Officer of Pillars maintained that the match will be tough but in the end, his team will triumph over their opponents.

While Kada City are in fourth position with 16 points, Pillars are in 6th with 14 points from 10 matches.
