Presenting the materials to the Head Teacher of the school, Manuga said the gesture was to complement Governor Ibrahim Hassan Dankwambo’s efforts in uplifting the standard of education in the state.
According to her, she was moved when she found out that students in the school are sitting on the floor, stressing that government alone cannot do all for the people. She said there is need for wealthy individuals in the state to assist government to give sound and qualitative education to youths in the state.
She said plans are under way to begin a project tagged “Beautiful All Around” an initiative of giving back to the society to impact on their lives positively.
“The project ‘Beautiful All Around will be conducted in all the communities of Tallase, Waja with a view to help people become self reliance,” she said.
Receiving the items on behalf of the local government, the chairman of Balanga Local Government Alhaji Abdullahi Garba Tallese, who was represented by the council Education Secretary, Mrs. Hauwa Adamu, commended Dudu Manuga for the initiative and called on others to emulate such gesture aimed at improving the quality of education in the state.
Commenting, Head Teacher Mr. Yunusa Aminu and chairman Parents Teachers Association of the schoolMr. Yusuf Yerima, described the gesture as the first of its kind since the school was established and promised to use the materials judiciously.
Aminu said this is the type of people the community need not politicians who have been promising and refusing to fulfill their promises.
“For years politicians from the area have failed to do such thing and somebody who is not a politician has touched our lives in a very positive way that will continue to linger in our lives and this has thrown a challenge to our politicians,” he said.
