There is crack in the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) over the “extended suspension” of the House of Representatives Minority Leader, Ndudi Elumelu, who was earlier suspended over alleged anti-party activities.
The Deputy National Chairman (South) of the party, Elder Yemi Akinwonmi and the National Youth Leader, Sunday Udeh Okoye, are not on the same page with the National Chairman of the party, Prince Uche Secondus, the PDP National Publicity Secretary, Mr. Kola Ologbondiyan and many others.
Ologbondiyan, in a statement and a recent advertorial, extended the suspension of Elumelu and others, explaining that the NWC would not reward disobedience and disloyalty.
The party also appointed Kingsley Chinda and others as leaders of the PDP caucus in the House of Representatives.
But the Deputy National Chairman (South) of the party, Elder Yemi Akinwonmi and the National Youth Leader, Sunday Udeh Okoye, told newsmen yesterday in Abuja, that Elumelu’s suspension was not extended, adding that it would be unconstitutional if that happened.
