The APC has alleged that the PDP paid for votes during the inconclusive gubernatorial election in Osun State, a move described by the ruling party as a threat to democracy.
The acting National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mr. Yekini Nabena, in a statement yesterday, said the aftermath of Saturday’s inconclusive Osun State governorship election had confirmed the vow by the PDP to deploy “all means, schemes, shenanigans in all ramification and magnitude” to rig all coming elections, starting from the Osun election.
He, therefore, called on INEC and security agencies to stop the alleged PDP votes buying tendency.
The APC also accused the PDP of misinforming the public on why INEC declared the poll inconclusive, stating that similar decision was taken during the last gubernatorial election in Kogi State.
“While the PDP and its paid proxies were accusing other political parties of irregularities during Saturday’s inconclusive election, the party was busy perpetuating its vote-buying scheme as exposed in several leaked videos showing PDP agents buying votes for its candidate, Sen. Ademola Adeleke, particularly in Ede Local Government Council,” he alleged.
