Patience Jonathan to host 700 leaders on cyber security confab

Mr. Ehud Barak, former Prime Minister of Israel, Dr. Salma Abbasi, founder/CEO eWorldWide, USA, a high level team both from the International Telecommunications Union (ITU) and the Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) are among the top leaders expected at the programme.
The cyber security conference is expected to map out new strategies to secure government and business assets, personal security including Child Online Protection and online e-commerce transaction on the cyberspace will also have top government functionaries at the federal and state levels, state governors and their wives, National Assembly members and their leaders, CEOs of corporate organisations, military and intelligence chiefs, foreign Ambassadors and high commissioners, among others.
The conference with the theme: ‘Cyber Insecurity- A Latent Threat to National Security and Economic Development’. Dame Jonathan, who is ITU-IMPACT Champion on Child Online Protection (COP), is playing host to the global forum as part of her yearly programme for Nigeria and the entire World with regards to Child Online Protection and  cyber security.
Chief Executive Officer of New Horizons and ITU-IMPACT Industry Partner for West Africa Mr. Tim Akano said the conference which would be preceded by a dinner on September 16Th to be hosted by the First Lady of Nigeria has become the most important gathering in Africa, South of Sahara.
