Parents urged to monitor children against social vices

This call was made in Abuja by Hajia Aisha Mohammed, wife of the FCT minister shortly after she was appointed as Life Patron of the Market Men and Women Association of Nigeria.
She said that the future of any nation depends on the quality of young men and women in the society, adding that: “As parents, we need to create time for our children, know what they are doing, who their friends are, because it is the only way to build a great people for the future.”
She said that her appointment as the association’s patron was a wake-up call for her to do more in the service of humanity.
She expressed commitment to the improvement of the “welfare of residents and the good people of the FCT.”
The minister’s wife said that the association would explore areas of co-operation and collaboration in the interest of its members.
Earlier, Mrs. Felicia Sani, the President of the association, thanked the minister’s wife for her support and contribution to the welfare of women.
She said that her appointment as a life patron of the association was due to her interest on issues affecting market men, women as well as children.
