The Chief Registrar of Supreme Court of Nigeria gave the indication when he received members of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Federal Capital Territory Chapter in his office yesterday.

” our target is to get to the premiership very soon, possibly this year. I believe it and I know we can work towards it.

He continued: “As it is now, nobody should write us off. We have our strategies. Good enough, we have some local derbies here. We have three other clubs playing in Abuja here. That will be six matches that will be taken as home matches. If we are finding it difficult to go outside to win, we should be able to win here in Abuja.”

“The general problem of Nigeria soccer is that if you must go and win somebody in his house, you must be ready for war. You have the referee to contend with. I don’t blame them because I have always criticized this idea of saying ‘let every home club host, sponsor referee. There is no way we can get anything credible out of it.”

Olorundahunsi noted that, despite the aforementioned obstacles, he had instructed his team to go all out to win their away matches if the dream of moving into the country’s apex league must be realized at the end of the season.

The apex court team have won all their home games this season but have not been able to replicate such form away, the club’s chairman believes that with three derby to be played in Abuja, his team’s chance of gaining promotion is bright.

The Supreme Court FC boss said efforts are being made to get more funding, stressing that the players will soon get better allowances and bonuses when such efforts yield results.

He therefore, sought the supports of the media in covering their matches and projecting their players.

Earlier, the chairman of FCT SWAN, Anode Adeniyi commended the efforts of the management of Supreme Court FC for the giant strides they are making in the Nigeria National League thus far.

He particularly praised the chairman of the club for his interest in football which has provided means of livelihoods for the players.

While assuring the Club of SWAN’s continued supports to the club, Mr. Adeniyi also solicited for the club’s collaboration with the sports Association and it’s programmes.
