Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, yesterday, met separately with the governors of Adamawa and Bauchi states at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.
Daily Trust reports that the vice president met behind closed doors with Jibrilla Bindow of Adamawa and Mohammed Abubakar of Bauchi State in his office, on what may not be unconnected with the extra polls they would face next week.
At the end of the meeting, at around 2pm, the Bauchi governor declined to speak to reporters who approached him for comments on the meeting.
Also, Bindow didn’t speak to the press at the end of his meeting with the vice president which ended by 2:35pm.
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has fixed Saturday, March 23 for the re-run elections in Adamawa, Bauchi, Kano, Sokoto, Benue and Plateau states.
