Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has expressed his desire for the law to take its full course against the recently arrested key Boko Haram suspect whose name the Nigerian Army gave as Aminu Yaminu, aka Tershaku.
In a statement yesterday, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Terver Akase, reaffirmed the leadership style of his principal not to shield anyone suspected to have committed a crime.
He said the arrest of former head of the Benue State Livestock Guards, Aliyu Teshaku by the Nigerian Army was as it should be as it was the constitutional mandate of security agencies to arrest anyone suspected to have violated the law.
“The law would take its course in the investigation of Teshaku. It is the decision of Governor Samuel Ortom to uphold justice while intensifying the fight against crime,” Akase stated.
