“Mr president, I am  told that there are a lot of senior people from PDP who have decided to join forces with President Buhari to take the broom to sweep away PDP to continue to ensure that APC continues to preside over Nigeria.

“The defectors today include my own brother and friend, Henry Duke. He is the former organising secretary of PDP. We  have Eshehe and a former vice chairman PDP and leader of PDP Edo North. In fact, once you join APC, all your sins are forgiven”, Oshiomhole said.

He added: “Mr president, we will not allow Atiku Abubakar to sell Nigeria, he didn’t only say he will sell the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, he said he will enrich himself. Mr President, you have destroyed the supply line. We will not allow it,  we will not kill, but PVCs will kill him come February presidential election.”

President Muhammadu Buhari said he would soon direct the anti-corruption agencies to tell Nigerians, how much had so far been recovered from looters.

He said his administration was doing its best in the fight against corruption by following the slow system and taking offenders to court for and selling assets of convicted persons and saving them in Single Treasury Account.

“I assure you that I will soon direct the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) and Independent Corrupt Practices Commission (ICPC) to give a comprehensive press conference to tell Nigeria how much we have recovered from looters, where the money is being  kept and what we will do with the money,” he said.

Earlier, Edo State Governor Godwin Obaseki had assured the president of one million votes.
