Olusola, Oni’s petitions can’t stop my inauguration — Fayemi

Fayemi appoints lecturers as SSG, CoS

Ekiti State governor-elect, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has said that the suits filed by a former governor of the state, Chief Segun Oni and the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the July 14 poll, Prof Kolapo Olusola, cannot stop his inauguration on October 16.

While Oni is challenging Fayemi over his alleged refusal to resign 30 days to the election as stipulated by law, Olusola is challenging the results of the election claiming that the poll was rigged in Fayemi’s favour.

Fayemi, who has extended invitation to Governor Ayodele Fayose to attend his inauguration as a leader of the state, added that President Muhammadu Buhari and state governors, particularly those of the APC, would also grace the occasion slated for Ekiti Parapo Pavilion, Ado Ekiti.

The chairman of the inauguration’s Media and Publicity Committee, Mr Yinka Oyebode, who represented Fayemi at a press conference on the preparations for the inauguration ceremony, highlighted other programmes of the event as a lecture and essay competition entitled, ‘Reclaiming Our Land, Restoring Our Values, Ekiti of my Dream’ to be delivered by a renowned poet, Prof. Niyi Osundare.
