Ogenyi blames Lobi’s loss to Enyimba on wet pitch

Ogenyi in a chat after the match in Aba said that Lobi Stars lost by such a goal margin because the players were not used to competing on such a flooded pitch.
He promised to improve on the team’s defence to forestall such a defeat.
“My boys fought very hard to ensure that the first half ended goalless, but they conceded three goals in the second half because they are not used to playing on such a wet pitch.
“I will go back and see what we can do, because at the end of the day, goal differences are going to count.”
The coach, however, hailed Enyimba players for exploiting the opportunities they had.
Meanwhile, Enyimba’s Chairman, Chief Felix Anyansi-Agwu, said that the team played “fantastic football during the match”.
“My boys are on fire now, and I do not see anybody stopping them.
“We have sound coaches, and it is reflecting on the boys. The difference is clear.
“These coaches have made a lot of impact on the players; so, I do not doubt their ability to strategise and get the best out of these boys in the next match against Kano Pillars,” he said. (NAN)
