Nwosu expresses disappointment over Eaglets

Speaking on the recent development, the coach said it is a sign of bad omen which should be a source of worry for any Nigerian who wishes the team well.

Nwosu who could not hide his disappointment narrated that the most unfortunate thing is that the discovery has been made so close to the commencement of the championship as he said the present handlers of the team have been put in a very tight corner.

The coach however expressed confidence that in as much as the development portends danger for the team, he was still confident that if the right things are done, Nigeria can still assemble players who can win the championship.

“I felt disappointed at the scenario and I actually do not expect such to be happening at this critical stage when all hope is on how to retaining the cup won in far away Korea. In short I believe that such development is a major setback but, I still believe that we will do well by the time the world event kicks off in October”, he said.

Nwosu therefore advised the coaching crew led by John Obuh to remain focused and use the remaining time to scout around for eligible players who would do the nation proud at the championship.

According to him what the handler of Eaglets is faced with is just part of the distractions one faces when assigned the responsibility of coaching a national team.

“I symapathise with the coaches but they must remain focused. The issue is that they must look around for other eligible players who will do the work”
