No cattle routes in Benue – Ortom

Benue gets N14.9b Paris Club refund

Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State yesterday said there were no cattle routes in his state.

Ortom, according to a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and ICT, Tahav Agerzua, spoke at NKST Church in Buruku while interacting with officials of the Christian Association of Nigeria on his re-election campaign in the local government area.

The governor, according to the statement, was reacting to the Wednesday’s televised comments of President Muhammadu Buhari on the matter.

Ortom alleged that the president’s overall performance was shameful and a confirmation of what his wife said that a cabal had taken charge of the president’s government.

The governor was quoted to have said that seven if there were such routes, which were gazetted. he would have de-gazetted them as the current population of the state had made such routes untenable.
