The National Identity Management Commission (NIMC) has extended the National Identification Number (NIN) registration to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the United Kingdom (UK).
The extension was to ensure that Nigerians in diaspora are enrolled into the national identity database, the director general of the commission, Engr. Aliyu Aziz said in yesterday.
The NIN enrolment in UAE and the UK, he said, is in collaboration with the Defcon Systems Limited (DSL) and the National eAuthentication Limited (NeAL).
The UAE registration begins on March 26 in Dubai, UAE; while that of the UK starts on March 29 in London and Leicester.
He said the rollout of additional locations in other cities across the globe where Nigerians reside will be concluded and announced in due course.
